I was feeling a little tired before gym one day, so I decided to make myself a little protein coffee pick me up shake. The results were amazing, I just have to share this recipe! It has coffee, protein, banana, chia, and a couple secret ingredients that will make you live forever! Or…at least give you energy to make it through a great workout!
Let us begin!
In your high powered blender, add in:
– 4 frozen bananas
– 2 cups hempseed, walnut, almond or any other type of raw vegan milk. (for instructions on how to make your own, see these links: Make Your Own Hemp Milk and: Make Your Nut Milk )
– 1 cup water
– 1 scoop protein powder (I use vegan hemp by Living Harvest)
– 2 tbsp. instant coffee
– 1 tbsp. raw cacao powder
– 2 tbsp. coconut flakes
– 1 tbsp. maca powder
– 1 tbsp. chia seeds
– 1 tsp vanilla
– 1/2 tsp turmeric
– 1/2 tsp cinnamon
– 2 tbsp. coconut sugar
Blend all the ingredients together in a high powered blender. Pour into a glass and drink up! Then go workout!
